TNFJ rally demands arrest of leader’s killers
PESHAWAR: Tehrik Nifaz-e-Fiqa-e-Jafria (TNFJ) staged a rally on Monday to protest the government’s ‘failure’ in arresting the killers of TNFJ central deputy secretary-general.
The protesting TNFJ provincial leaders and activists shouted anti-government slogans in front of the Peshawar Press Club demanding of the government to unmask the killers of Sardar Mumtaz Ali Qazalbash who was shot dead near his house in Hayatabad, a posh locality of Peshawar.
The TNFJ observed the late Qazalbash’s Chehlum as a protest day across the country. Protest day in Peshawar which was led by Abbas Ali Kiani, Sardar Ali Gohar, Mirza Nasir Ali Baig, Syed Qamar Rizvi and Mukhtar Force, was arranged by the TNFJ provincial council.
Addressing the protestors, TNFJ provincial spokesman Riaz Ali Kausri said the people involved in the killing of Sardar Mumtaz had still not been arrested though over a month had passed while the government had not given any details of investigation which proved the failure of the provincial government.
Kausri said the provincial government had not taken any concrete steps to control growing terrorism in the province which was condemnable. The TNFJ spokesman said Shiites were peace-loving and organised people. staff report
